Last reports says that the ship is momentarily in Aliaga, Turkye where it will be demolished.
We would like to get in contact with the demolition company so that we can make a complete story about the life of the EX SMIT-LLOYD 8.

The Smit-LLYOD 8 immediately came into action after it was finished. This was in the Norwegian waters close to the drilling platform Ocean Traveller World.
The supply harbour became Stavanger.

1966 finished by N.V. Scheepswerf "De Hoop", Lobith (260) as SMIT-LLOYD 8 to N.V. Smit-Lloyd, Rotterdam.
6-1979 sold to Smit-Lloyd Matsas (Hellas) Shipping Co. Ltd., Kavalla-Greece, and renamed SMIT-LLOYD MATSAS 2.
17-6-2006 sold for demolition to Turkye, before the voyage it was renamed AS 2,
31-7-2006 arrived in Aliaga Turkije to be demolished.
